Founded in 1979 by a small group of community members, the chorus now numbers 75 men and women, who range in age from teens to senior citizens, including four founding members. Directed by Jane Hanson, who is a nationally acclaimed professional conductor and vocalist, the group performs a wide variety of classical and contemporary music. Their repertoire includes music by more than one hundred diverse composers, who range from Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert to Irving Berlin and Leonard Bernstein, among others.
